Special Thank You from Cincinnatians for Progress Co-Chairs

Thank You.

All along, we have said that this campaign was about more than a streetcar or passenger rail or good governance-it was about what kind of city Cincinnati wants to be. Thanks to you, Cincinnati sent a loud and clear message that Cincinnati stands for Progress.

We demand good governance.
We embrace transportation options and want passenger rail here in Cincinnati.
We want to compete for economic growth and talent and jobs.

You helped us come from 9 points down in a March poll to a resounding 12 point win on Election night.

You helped us build one of the broadest coalitions in Cincinnati history: with a majority of R's, D's, C's and I's; with the League of Women Voters and Cincinnatus; with labor; with the African American Chamber, the Hispanic Chamber, the OTR Chamber, and the Cincy USA Regional Chamber; with westsiders and eastsiders, etc. etc. You know the coalition, because you helped link us together.

Please join us in thanking our core committee. These are the people who spent every Monday night since February creating CFP and making it successful. You didn't see them out front often, but they were here every week making sure Issue 9 was defeated. Next time you see them, say thanks to:

Jason Baron
Jeff Cramerding
Colin Groth
Jodi McIntosh
Don Mooney
John Schneider
Anne Sesler
Andrew Simon
Abbey Steinman
Kari Toll
Brad Thomas
Jonathon Vogt
Margy Waller

A special thanks to Mayor Mark Mallory, Jim Tarbell, Roxanne Qualls, Chris Bortz, Andrew Bench, Chris Moran, Fred Craig, Judi Craig, Dacia Snider, Tracy Schwetschenau, Judge Mark Painter, Bill Burwinkle, Denise Driehaus, Dick Finan, Stan Aronoff, Jim and Joanne Maly, Lisa and Tim Maly, Amber Sprengard, Rachel Lapps, Libby Korosec, Joe Metz and Get Sick Productions.

This week, we celebrate. Next week, Cincinnatians for Progress will get back to work. Look for an announcement in the coming weeks about how Cincinnatians for Progress is going to need you to keep the new energy and momentum we've generated working toward Progress in Cincinnati.

We Love Cincinnati,

Bobby Maly, Co-Chair
Rob Richardson, Co-Chair
Joe Sprengard, Co-Chair

I'd love to see a light rail system set up like the one Portland, Oregon or Salt Lake City, Utah has. That is what Cincinnati needs more than anything.
